Maggie Simpson

Sheena has been doing a very good Maggie Simpson impersonation after she wakes up in the morning: see the video.

She's doing fairly well. She's on the mend from a bad cold that she caught from me. Saturday was not a good day, when she had a fever of 39 in the morning. We're looking at her weekly routine, and we're investigating an alternative EI program that she'll be eligible for in August. Her current program is only 2 hours a week, whereas this alternative one is 12 hours a week over 2 days (sort of school hours). We're going to visit the centre this week to see if it looks suitable for Sheena. Early Intervention is far from uniform depending on where you live in the world, and which service you're tapped into, so it will be good to see what else is available for Sheena.

I love her Maggie Simpson impression - too cute!

I hope the new school works out and is a good fit for Sheena. We were so lucky to have found a great place for Delphine, but I know how hard it can be!

That was seriously gorgeous Jo. Next time you need to spend some time spiking her hair and then send it to FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOs.
I think it would get played.

Mark cracked a smile!

My wife Maggie's maiden name was Simpson, but I guess Sheena was impersonating that other one :)

Poor love - what a get up you have her walking in!! Definitely a Maggie Simpson - only cuter. The new EI sounds good - how many other children are in the room? Is it a sort of preschool set up?

PS - DOn't know if you are interested but there are a few people trying to get an Aussie DS forum up and running - it is called Down Syndrome Down Under - it would be lovely if you felt so inclined to join.
